icon Considerations In MSBTE RULES FOR CONDOLENCE [GRACE] MARKS
  Dear Sir,

Sir. I appeared MSBTE’S SUMMER 2011 EXAMS. Final Semester Diploma of Engineering. In Computer Engineering, Results were declared on 4th July, 2011.
I have near about 65%, But Sir One Subject I am Failed , I obtained 23 Marks out of 80 in Theory (28 minimum passing) & 05 Marks out of 20 in Test Marks i.e. Internal’s Test, so my total becomes [28 OUT OF 100] [Aggregate] & minimum Passing required is 40 marks[Aggregate] …but MSBTE provides NOT MORE THAN 10 Marks as Grace(Condoned) to candidate’s securing Above or equal to 50% in Aggregate Total, Also there is no such criteria of Securing minimum Marks in Test Exams .i.e. Internals for obtaining (Condoned) Grace Marks, also My all others Semester’s / Year’s are successfully Passed, but Sir I Am Falling short of “02” marks to obtain Grace of 10 marks in Final Semester…i.e. if my Aggregate total would had been 30 instead of 28 in that particular subject I would have obtained 10 Grace marks for minimum passing of 40, Also Such Cases are considered as Critical Cases & the Critical cases are those cases where the marks obtained by Candidate are on the Boundary of failing Marks, also this examination was my Final in Engineering Diploma Course. Sir Other Candidates in that Same subject Secured 17 Marks out of 80 in Theory but had 13 out of 20 in internal’s Test, so that their Total’s becomes 30 & they are awarded 10 grace marks & those Candidates Final % is 51-55% but still managed to Pass, also Many Candidates are either not Awarded Condoned even they are falling short by 10 Marks, many such cases of Candidates, Similar to me are facing this tragedy, For Completion of their course in satisfying manner Successfully..& are sacked off due to 1 OR 1½ marks which IS Spoiling our Career, for further seeking admission in Engineering Course…also waste of Engineering Diploma even after securing 65%, & if my one mistake of not securing” 02” marks more in test exam's internal or theory can cause my career & other's who had that 02 marks extra are eligible than me doesn’t prove a point in System as other Candidate’s also had Passed Obtaining 10 Condoned Marks..& the margin is also less than of a fraction .i.e.1½ marks could have created difference, Also this was final Semester Result; some sympathy/Mercy would save my Career & an Entire Year....
Also
MSBTE revised their Curriculum & Revoked Earlier Pattern of Only 100 Marks Theory [.i.e. 20 Test Marks Deleted] & Named it As “E” Scheme. As Per DTE Rules, MSBTE Provided One Time Opportunity As Carry On[RG 5 C Rule] To All “C” – (old 80theory marks 20 test marks) Scheme Candidates, who were Failures In their Earlier Semester or Lower Semester’s or were not Eligible to seek Admission in Final Year for Academic [2010-11], Due to Pending of Previous Semesters, Only Because of MSBTE decision to Start New Scheme “E”, so & to Complete Those failure candidates Academic in Old “C” Pattern.
So, those Candidates were Given a Chance as One time Opportunity for Completing their Course in Old “C” Pattern, as from Summer 2012, there will be No Examination for “C” pattern Candidates, So as MSBTE knows all this Circumstances then those Appeared Regular Candidates of “C” Scheme for Final semester of Summer-2011 Exams, Should had MSBTE considered Critical Cases Like ME who are failing on boundary for 01 or 1½ marks & shown some mercy.
Also DTE, in their Brochure 2011-12, have Mention’s New Rules for seeking Direct Admission to Second Year of Four Year Degree Course in Engineering/Technology with Ref. GR dated 18-May-2011,
AS Follows:
Earlier it was Required Minimum of 60% to seek Direct Admission in Second Year of Four Year Degree Course in Engineering/Technology, But as per New revised Rules it is Mentioned minimum of 50% at least in Final Semester of Engineering Diploma is Required to seek Direct Admission in Second Year of Four Year Degree Course in Engineering/Technology, DTE have increased seats for Second Year of Four Year Degree Course in Engineering/Technology, For Candidates Completing Engineering Diploma. Sir as per New rules Candidate’s Who have obtained 60% [First Class] or more in Engineering Diploma Exams but are Failed in One Subject with a Margin of not more than 01 or 1½ marks to have Condoned[GRACE] Marks should be considered showing some Mercy & Not Spoiling our Careers & a Entire Year.

I had already given for Urgent Verification of Marks, but the Result for the same is “NO CHANGE” , & is common to all Candidates, No Candidates Result is “CHANGE”.
For 01 or 1½ Marks I am Facing this Tragedy Even after Securing First Class.

Regard’s
